On the farm...
While Briella was at my parents house she was able to go visit a dairy farm. My dad knows the people who own it so she got the "insider's" tour. I'm not surprised to say she loved it and continues to talk about how fun it was!

We accepted an offer!!!
Yes that means what you think it does. We accepted an offer on our house today! Thank you to everyone who prayed for us. We are beyond excited but now have to start the process of finding a house to move into!
I was at a conference this past week and is thus the explanation for no posts. I will have updates this week for sure! Briella has been having tons of fun at my parents house and I have pictures to prove it. We are picking her up tomorrow. Can't wait to see her!

"Watching the Birds"
It was a pretty nice day yesterday...around 70 but windy and it still felt a little chilly outside. Briella was talking all day about how she wanted to go to Florida again. She must have asked me 10 times if we could go to Florida when daddy got home from work. After I told her unfortunately no we can't go to Florida she decided that going outside to "watch the birds" would be just as fun. I'm not sure where she picked this phrase up but we went out and sat on the front steps for awhile and watched the birds....how could I resist?
Mommyfest

I'm a little late but I am joining the 5th Annual Mommyfest Blog Party. Welcome to my Blog! This is where I let all of our family and friends who don't see us regularly know what is going on with us. Our latest big accomplishment is that Briella is potty trained....BIG EXCITEMENT...those of you who have also reached this milestone know what I am talking about! Anyway, have a look around and enjoy the party!

1. I am the oldest of 12 grandkids on my mom's side of the family...10 of which are girls.
2. I graduated from an all women's college and have also worked there for the past 5 years.
3. I watch way to many television shows....thank god the writer's strike is over since I was starting to go through withdrawal! Some of my favorites include Grey's Anatomy, American Idol, Survivor, Men In Trees (which just got canceled....bummer), Dancing with the Stars, Brothers and Sisters and the Amazing Race...I told you I watch too many!
4. Mike and I have been married for 5 years this June. We have one daughter, Briella, who is 2, a golden retriever, Bear, who is 8, and a fish, Blue, who has lived a lot longer than we expected him to!
5. I took piano lessons for 12 years and would love to have a house big enough to have a piano in one day.

For the MommyFest Potluck I will be bringing a dessert since I really like to bake. My favorite thing to make is a White Chocolate Raspberry Cake. It tastes really good and homemade but you actually use a box cake and add ingredients. I have made it in a 9x13 pan before and it turns out great that way too!

Another one!
We have another showing this afternoon. This makes 3 showings within 8 days that doesn't count the showing that got canceled. Hopefully that means the market is picking up! Everybody who was praying on Saturday...keep praying! I'll keep you posted!
In other news, I won a prize in this Mother's Day Giveaway. The prize is a Lily on the Fly Meal Planning chart and a Chickin Feed nutrition planning chart. I'm anxious to get my prize since it seems like we have the same meals over and over at my house! Thanks to Susan and Janice at 5minutesformom for another great giveaway!
For another chance to win some great stuff head over to notes from my nest. They have a big contest going on with lots of prizes. The one thing you have to do to be entered is share what you know now about motherhood. What I know now is that motherhood is unpredictable and tiring and stressful but you forget about all of that when you hear your little one say "I love you mama!"

Uneventful Week...Pretty Busy Weekend
I haven't posted much this week because our we haven't done much of anything that is post worthy. It was uneventful. Mike and I went to work, Briella went to daycare and that was about it!
This weekend however is a different story! Last night Mike had Mayfest at the High School. That is the big art fair and choir concert to end the year. Then today we have a showing on our house (everyone keep your fingers crossed and if you feel so inclined say a prayer to St. Joseph!) and tonight is our monthly card club at our house. This morning has been spent cooking and cleaning to get ready for both of them. So far I have gone to the grocery store to pick up a few more things, made the cake part of a white chocolate raspberry cake, made 2 versions of the Cosmopolitan Slush from this cookbook (one alcoholic and one virgin), done 2 loads of laundry, and made the brownie layer of this recipe that I am trying for the first time. Meanwhile, Mike has been cleaning and attempting to keep the tornado that is Briella from touching the now clean areas of our house.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be a relaxing day after all of this!
