Have you missed us???

How could you not miss that adorable face??? I'm sorry for my lack of posts. We have been quite busy these last few weeks. I've been working A LOT in preparation for our year end audit. The auditors come next week so that will be a relief! Now I'm moving onto training with a woman who is retiring from my office and not being replaced. As her backup, I am the one who gets to take over all of her duties...Lucky me!! At least I have a job, I guess.

Mike has been busy with football and painting. You can check out the Cavemen football website here. The season officially starts August 3 which is seriously not that far away!!! He has also been painting the freshmen football locker room for the athletic department. He didn't take any before pictures but I will try to get some afters to post on here.

Miss Briella has been up to her usual tricks! She's done some swimming both in the river and the pool. Haven't made it out to the lake yet but hoping to get there before the summer is over. She has been to the zoo too many times to count. She loves to see the animals, knows most of their names and can tell you several facts about them. She excited for Aunt Meagan's wedding and can't wait to wear her pretty flower girl dress! Since we weren't really going on a vacation we also decided to sign Briella up for a summer gymnastics class. I'm really glad that we did it because she loves it and is getting lots of personalized attention from her teacher since there are only 3 kids in the class.

Crazy Cat

I can't seem to figure out our cat. Briella loves Raja (Briella recently changed his name based on Jasmine's tiger in the movie Aladdin) and he is always around her which I take to mean he loves her as well. Sometimes she has a funny way of showing Raja her love....like putting him in her baby cradles or strollers and trying to get him to stay there while she pushes him around or covers him up with a blanket. He tolerates it very well and when he has had enough will run away. But there are times when he apparently WANTS her to manhandle him because we look over and without any provacation from Briella see this....

As soon as Briella notices the above it of course leads to this....

Which is pretty innocent and loving but then we get to this....
And at this point the cat usually runs away. This is repeated at least daily at our house...not sure when the cat is going to learn his lesson!

Boat Ride

We took our first boat ride of the year last weekend courtesy of Meagan and Dean and their boat. It was a gorgeous day! The lake was beautiful and it was just the right temperature where you weren't too hot. Very fun!

Planting

These are from a month or so ago when we were up at my parents house but I thought they were definitely cute enough to share! Mike and Briella both got in on planting the garden at my parents house and thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Adopting

Some very dear friends of mine are in the process of adopting a baby and I couldn't be happier or more excited for them. They are working with the firm Kirsh & Kirsh out of Indianapolis.

Currently, Clint and Jen, have written their "Dear birth mother" letter and are waiting to be chosen. Please pray for them as they wait for someone who is unknown to all of us to choose them for the most precious gift imaginable.
